Burning Hell and Fiery Night!
Bring my painful wounds to Light!
Let me die soft and slow.
At last-perhaps-Peace I'll know.

Recess, children, Noisy Ring.
None to see me Dying.
Words drawing my mouth dumb-
With every breath I slowly succumb

to inner isolation; a backward glance:
Every moment held in Still Trance.
Seeing myself drift quietly away.
Trying to shout, but what's to say?

Turn myself to self-destruction.
Humble pain with mine infliction.
Dull the senses with heavy heart-
All through life such was my part--

Author's Comments

I think I've been writing so much about what I think and what I percieve around me, that I haven't really written about myself and how I am who I am. So, I decided to simply sit down and let my pencil wander the page and see what came out. It is rather long so I have cut it in two parts, Part I is The Dark Corners. Part II is comig next. [link]

There seems to be a lot going on below the surface of this poem; I quite like that. The words also have a ring to them which makes it a great piece to read out loud. I don't know a better way to describe it than to say it's alive.

Thanx for such a great insight. I find its frustrating that I cannot see the deeper emotions under my own work, and its cool that people are able to see things that even I'm not aware of, but simply come out in my writing. I guess thats the way it is with words. We say so much without saying much at all. Couldn't ask for higher praise. Thanx.

Hey, you saw things in one of my drawings I had no idea about... I think that's one of the best things about sites like this one - most of our thoughts are subconscious and so our writings and art also often have a lot of layers we are not aware of, which other people have an easier time seeing. Isn't it great? Isn't it great? ( I don't get the chance to quote the Tick all that often. >_> )

Which Tick? But yes, it is great! it is great! I think the best part of the DA is I get to see art which isn't just poetry, or isn't just visual. There is so much variety of means of expression that I find it hard to get bored. Isn't it great? (Don't know who the Tick is so I'm just quoting you)

lmao, beutiful. Is he from the wellington aristocracy? Or perchance he was from the house of lord, who had tea with the chancellor and participated in the buckinghamshire polo derby! Tell fifi he is famous as the original british, who let me tell you, where famed for their elaborate makeup. I like to think of british aristocracy as early transvestites. He's just getting into some old skool shit yo!
